Quick answer: no official Kettama after party has been announced. On Friday, October 30, the best late-night option is the Halloween Special at 75 Pelham Ave in the Junction. It has two rooms of house music, runs until 3 AM, and tickets start at $20. It's a separate event and isn't affiliated with the Kettama show.
The Kettama shows at History
Irish DJ and producer Kettama plays History, 1663 Queen St E in Leslieville, on Friday, October 30 and Saturday, October 31. Shows are listed from 8 PM and tickets were listed from about $50. His sets are fast and rave-driven, pulling from house, techno, hard house and UK garage.
History is a concert venue, not a late club, so the night there runs on a concert schedule. That's why people go looking for somewhere to go after.
Is there an official Kettama or History after party?
Not that we've seen. As of October 16 we haven't found an official after party listed for either night. If one is announced we'll update this guide.
Friday: the Halloween Special
If you came for Kettama's mix of house and rave energy, the Halloween Special is the closest match that keeps going late. Room 1 has UK tech house producer Iglesias playing a hybrid live set with Toronto's Nathan Barato. Room 2 is a vinyl hybrid room headlined by Kiinjo. The venue is a decorated studio warehouse, costumes are recommended, and it's 19+.
Saturday: what's on after Kettama
The Halloween Special is Friday only. If you're seeing Kettama on Saturday, October 31, the late options we know about are Kaskade at REBEL (11 Polson St in the Port Lands, doors 10 PM, tickets listed from about $109) and the second night of INFERNØ, a techno event in a secret west-end warehouse that runs until 2:30 AM. Saturday also has an extra hour: clocks fall back at 2 AM on Sunday, November 1.
Our Toronto Halloween weekend guide lays out both nights hour by hour.
Getting from History to the Junction
History is in the east end and the Halloween Special is in the west end, so you're crossing the city.
- By car or ride share: about 25 minutes west, longer if Lake Shore or the Gardiner is busy. Use 75 Pelham Ave as the drop-off.
- By TTC: take the 22 Coxwell bus north from Queen St E to Coxwell station, ride Line 2 west to Dundas West station, then walk about 15 minutes north-west to Pelham Ave. Budget around an hour. The subway runs until roughly 2 AM, so this only works if you leave History by midnight.
- By UP Express or GO: not useful from History. They help if you're coming from Union.
When to leave History
| If you want | Leave History by | Ticket |
