Quick answer: Halloween 2026 falls on a Saturday, so Toronto gets two big nights. Friday, October 30 is the night for house music: the Halloween Special runs 10 PM to 3 AM at Mooi Space in the Junction, from $20. Saturday, October 31 has the Church Street street party, Ozmozis at Evergreen Brick Works, Kaskade at REBEL and night two of INFERNØ. Clocks fall back at 2 AM on Sunday, November 1, so Saturday night is an hour longer.

Friday is our pick for dancing because it has the weekend's strongest house lineup. Start at Church Street for the costumes if you like, then head west: from Wellesley station take Line 1 one stop north to Bloor-Yonge, Line 2 west to Dundas West, then walk about 15 minutes to Pelham Ave.

Halloween on Church drew more than 80,000 people last year, so expect crowds around Wellesley and College stations. Organizers have said there will be an increased police presence.

The extra hour on Halloween night

Daylight saving time ends at 2 AM on Sunday, November 1, when clocks go back to 1 AM. Any party that runs past 2 AM on Saturday night gets an extra hour, and your phone will change on its own. Your ride home is an hour later than it feels.

Three ways to do the weekend

For house music

Friday: Kettama at History early, then the Halloween Special until 3 AM. Saturday: costumes on Church Street, then Kaskade at REBEL.

On a budget

Friday: the Halloween Special with the $20 entry-before-11 PM ticket. Saturday: Halloween on Church, which is free. Our cheap Halloween parties guide has more ways to save.

For techno

Both nights of INFERNØ, with Ozmozis on Saturday afternoon if you can handle a 4 PM start.

What the weather usually does

Toronto's October averages are a high of about 14°C and a low of about 7°C, and the last days of the month run colder. Plan for a cool walk between venues and a cold one at 3 AM. Our costume guide covers dressing for both the dance floor and the sidewalk.
